The Scarab is the highest-paying regular symbol. Eight or nine Scarabs pay 5× the total bet, 10–11 pay 20×, and 12 or more pay 100× before the current multiplier is applied.
A 100× symbol payout combined with a high active multiplier is still subject to the game's 10,000× overall win cap.
The Anubis symbol is the Scatter. It does not need to form an eight-symbol regular win. Landing 3–6 Scatters triggers Free Spins, and the Scatter count determines the starting multiplier awarded to the feature.

A Free Spin that begins at 8× can move to 16× after one winning tumble, 32× after another and 64× after the next. When that spin finishes, the multiplier returns to the feature's starting value. It does not return to 1×.
The same rule applies to a 64× start. Every new Free Spin begins at 64× unless the feature's starting value has been changed by the Gamble or a retrigger.
Before the Free Spins round begins, the awarded starting multiplier can be gambled. A successful attempt doubles the current value. The player can keep the current multiplier or gamble again, up to 256×.
A failed attempt removes the Free Spins feature rather than merely cancelling the extra multiplier.
Scatters can land again during the feature. They reset the remaining Free Spins counter to 10 and increase the starting multiplier used by subsequent spins.

The counter reset is different from adding 10 extra spins. If seven spins remained when the retrigger landed, the counter becomes 10 rather than 17.
The multiplier change also persists as the feature's new starting value. A retrigger can leave the round at 10 remaining spins with a higher starting multiplier.
